About this Artwork
Following the 2024 earthquake in Noto, Japan, many evacuees sought refuge in neighbouring Kanazawa, a city renowned for its gold leaf, sweets, and rain. Nozaki Bussan, a well-known sweet manufacturer, supported evacuees through donations. This illustration was commissioned by Nozaki Bussan for the packaging of their new Sweet Scape Kanazawa range. It was then exhibited and sold in London in 2025, where portions of the proceeds were donated to the earthquake recovery fund.
