ABOUT

Molly Maine is a professional freelance illustrator and designer from London, known for her bold and graphic travel illustrations. Her eye-catching artwork uses light, colour, and perspective to evoke a strong sense of place and ignite curiosity. She specialises in commercial illustration for brands and publishers.

Molly graduated from Falmouth University in 2009 with a BA in Illustration and an MA in Creative Advertising, including a year studying Illustration at Nagoya University of Art, Japan. She then worked for eight years across London's creative industries, including five years with book publisher, Walker Books.

​

​In 2016 Molly began working as a freelance designer and illustrator. She packed up her life in London and began living nomadically, travelling the world full-time and setting up her design and illustration studio on the road. Eight years later, Molly has travelled to over 50 countries and continues to work and run her studio remotely as she travels.

​

Molly's illustrations are created using a combination of hand-drawing, Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Her eye-catching style is clean, strong and unique, making it well-suited to advertising and publishing commissions. Molly is a visual storyteller who loves to set the scene, capturing the feeling of a moment or place. Whether she’s helping a brand to launch a new campaign, or illustrating a new book cover, her aim is always to create artwork that sparks curiosity and inspires people to keep exploring.

Her clients include Sky News, Harvey Nichols, and Penguin Random House. She is currently based between London and Lisbon.
