Molly Maine is a professional freelance illustrator and designer from London, known for her bold travel and lifestyle illustrations.
Molly graduated from Falmouth University in 2009 with a BA in Illustration and an MA in Creative Advertising, including a year studying Illustration at Nagoya University of Art, Japan. She then worked for eight years in design and marketing roles across London's creative industries, including five years with book publisher, Walker Books.
In 2016 Molly left Walker Books and began her journey as a full-time freelancer. She joined the early wave of 'digital nomads' and began travelling the world with her Macbook and sketchbook, setting up her design and illustration studio Molly Maine Creative on the road. Eight years later, Molly has travelled to over 50 countries and continues to run her studio remotely.
Molly's illustrations are hand-drawn, then rendered digitally using Procreate, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Her eye-catching style is well-suited to advertising, editorial, and publishing commissions, and her clients include Sky News, Harvey Nichols, Penguin Random House, and Lush Cosmetics. She is currently based between London and Lisbon.
