Molly Maine is a professional freelance illustrator and designer from London, known for her evocative travel illustrations, her bold mark-making and her striking colour palettes.
After graduating with a BA in Illustration and an MA in Creative Advertising in 2009, Molly worked for eight years in design and marketing roles across London's creative industries, including in-house positions at agencies, galleries, and five years with book publisher, Walker Books.
In 2016 Molly left Walker Books and began her journey as a full-time freelancer. She joined the early wave of 'digital nomads' and began travelling the world with her Macbook and sketchbook, setting up her design and illustration studio Molly Maine Creative whilst on the road. Seven years later, Molly has travelled to 50 countries and continues to run her studio remotely.
Molly's illustrations are hand-drawn, then rendered digitally using Procreate and Photoshop, and Illustrator. Her colourful, eye-catching style is well-suited to advertising, editorial, and publishing commissions, and her clients include Penguin Random House, ASOS, Curzon Cinema, Simon & Schuster, Lush, and Netflix. She is currently based between London and Lisbon.
